BIO-FACADES | culture of micro algae on building facades * 2 international patents
Description: Process of culturing microalgae on facades in symbiosis with buildings.
Objective: Making buildings productive by recycling the co2 they emit and photosynthesis. It is a very promising symbiosis project. XTU has been studying this process for 7 years. A world first is under construction in Paris with the Alguesens project. The harvested biomass with high added value is intended for cosmetics and medicine.
